Dramaturg
Cultural Manager
Dimitra Thomaidou (she/her) was born in Serres, Greece.
​
She studied Philosophy at Ioannina University (BA), Theater History & Performance at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and at Delos Drama School (diploma), and Dramaturgy at HfMT Academy in Hamburg (M.Arts). Additionally, she holds a diploma in Cultural & Project Management by Deutsche Akademie für Management.

During the past years she has worked as a dramaturg, director assistant and project manager in various projects in Greece and Germany, and she has participated in research projects and residencies in France and Sweden - including among others collaborations with Akademie der Künste, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Ballhaus Naunynstraße, and Athens & Epidaurus Festival.
Characterized by her transcultural perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches, her work aspires to inquire about innovative formats of dramaturgy implementation and performance management.

Currently, she focuses on her PhD research - Department of Culture, Creative Media and Industries at the University of Thessaly.

Since 2013, she is based in Berlin, Germany.
