Dimitra Thomaidou was born in Serres, Greece.
She studied Theater and Philosophy at National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, at Ioannina University (BA.) and in Dilos Drama School Academy (Diplom-Athens), Culture Management in DAM-Deutsche Akademie für Management and Theater Dramaturgy at HfMT-Hochschule für Musik & Theater in Hamburg (MA.).
Additionally, she has participated in residencies in Las teouleres (France) and Tokalynga Theater Academy (Sweden), where she focused on improvisation performance.
Throughout her studies -and afterwards, she has worked as an actress, dramaturg and director assistant in state theatres as well as in free scenes with various directors and ensembles. Among other Institutes, she collaborated with Theatro Technis Karolos Koun, Kinitiras Studio, Mousonturm, Theater tri-bühne, Akademie der Künste, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Ballhaus Naunynstraße.
Since 2013, she is based in Berlin and works as a culture & production manager, theater dramaturg and performer.
At times she writes poems, short stories, plays, essays and love letters.
She likes to explore human nature, to question and challenge herself and to share new ideas.
