Dramaturg
Project Manager
Dimitra Thomaidou (she/her) is a Berlin-based Dramaturg and Project Manager.
She was born in Serres, Greece and she studied Philosophy at Ioannina University (BA), Theater History & Performance at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens / Delos Drama School (BA), and Dramaturgy at HfMT Academy in Hamburg (M.Arts). Additionally, she did postgraduate studies in Cultural Management in DAM and, currently, she is a PhD candidate at the Department of Culture, Creative Media and Industries - University of Thessaly.
During the past years she has worked as a dramaturg and project manager in various projects, including among others collaborations with Akademie der Künste, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Ballhaus Naunynstraße, and Athens & Epidaurus Festival.
Expertise in conceptualizing, developing research strategies, processing plans, and following deadlines. Characterized by her transcultural perspectives and interdisciplinary approaches, her work aspires to inquire about innovative formats of dramaturgy implementation and performance management - and to inspire creative collaborations, both in local and international industries.
She likes to explore human nature, to question and challenge herself, and to share new ideas.
